Tenzing’s India Engineering office is located at The Hive, co-located with Bangalore’s hottest happening destination, VR Bengaluru, and next to Phoenix Market City, Whitefield. Our US headquarters is in Berkeley, California..

 

Node.js, MongoDB, Cloud Native, Scalable, High Performance Architectures

As a platform engineer at Tenzing, you will be part of realizing the engine that realizes the disruptive innovations from Tenzing  on a scalable, high performance architecture on a modern cloud native stack. It is not for the faint-hearted.

Basic QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four Year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering from a top Engineering School.
  • Expert in building consumer facing web applications and platforms based on Node.js, AWS/Heroku, MongoDB+MySQL. 
  • Full product lifecycle experience a must. 
  • At least 5 years of experience with a top tier engineering team

You will

  • Have the demonstrated ability to absorb an abstract idea and produce a design from concept to production fairly independently.
  • Have expertise in building platform software that are scalable, high performant and resilient.
  • Be experienced in building robust, well-designed platform software for a production cloud native application.
  • Be experienced in the complete lifecycle of setting up production level infrastructure on AWS/Heroku.
  • Have a discipline of building/deploying containerized applications with Docker, and understand how infrastructure as code is built with Terraform or Kubernetes.
  • Have a keen interest in how technology is applied meaningfully to impact people’s lives and have a habit of reading and absorbing industry literature on best practices.
  • Be at ease with using SQL & NoSQL based databases and what you need to do as a service owner - provisioning, optimizing, migrating.
  • Be extremely conversant in table stakes software engineering toolchain - Linux/Shell, IDE’s, Git, Debuggers, Profilers.
  • Have a solid foundation in how computer systems work - from internet protocols, multithreading, memory management and applying the right algorithm for the problem
  • Believe that your work is your self-portrait, and so take a lot of pride in what you produce as a professional.

IOS, Swift, full lifecycle mobile development

As a mobile applications engineer at Tenzing, you will be building delightful, consumer facing transformative experiences that make travel fun and delightful.

Basic QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four Year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering from a top Engineering School.
  • 3-5 years experience building fast, delightful native IOS applications.
  • Expert level skills in IOS development (Swift) with a major contribution to at least one successful consumer facing application.

You will

  • Be completely at ease with the app development lifecycle for IOS.
  • Have a keen interest in how technology is applied meaningfully to impact people’s lives and have a habit of reading and absorbing industry literature on best practices.
  • Be extremely conversant in table stakes software engineering toolchain - Command line tools, IDE’s, Git, Debuggers, Profilers.
  • Have a solid foundation in how computer systems work - from internet protocols, multithreading, memory management and applying the right algorithm for the problem
